Girls Soccer Takes Tough Loss from Mason

The Hawks season came to an end last night with a 1-0 loss to the Mason Comets in a Division I district semi-final game played at Sycamore High School.  Steady rain and wind made for some interesting on-field conditions throughout the night.  Both teams worked hard the first half, but neither was able to score.

The Thunderhawks traveled to Oak Hills to take on the Highlanders on Thursday evening.  The GMC match up ended in a 1-1 tie.  Lakota East’s goal was scored by sophomore Brianna Matis. The Lakota East Thunderhawks took on the Middletown Middies at Barnitz Stadium on Thursday evening in a GMC match up. Seniors Abby Stoughton, Emma Collett and Alexa Bencic, each played a role in the Hawks 6-0 shutout of the Middies.  Stoughton put the Hawks on the board first and tallied two goals for the evening.
