Lakota East Girl’s Volleyball sweeps Talawanda in their first round tourney match 25-12, 25-14, 25-10 on Wednesday night. Boys Cross Country GMC Runner Up, Horter Wins 3rd Straight GMC Title!

The Thunderhawks finished 2nd at the GMC Championships at VOA on a beautiful Saturday morning. The Hawks were led by senior Dustin Horter who won his 3rd consecutive GMC individual title.  However, this time, he did it in course record fashion, running 14:49.4 for the 5k (3.1 mile) Championship Course at Voice of America Park.

The Lakota East Girls Cross Country team finished 2nd overall at the GMC Championships at VOA last Saturday. They were led by sophomore Danielle Horter who placed 7th overall in a time of 19:38.8 which was good enough for 1st team all-conference honors.  Also earning 1st team honors was junior Lindsay Isom who placed 11th

Football Overcomes Big Blue!

Through eight games, the Lakota East High School football team’s hopes for a Division I playoff berth remain intact. The Thunderhawks scored the game-winning points on a safety Friday night to earn a 30-21 victory over visiting Hamilton, setting up critical showdowns with fellow Region 4 playoff hopefuls Sycamore and Mason to finish the regular season.

Girls Soccer Moves on in State Tournament

The Thunderhawks defeated Oak Hills 1-0 in the first round of the post-season tournament.  The action-packed, energy-filled game at the Hawks Nest went to overtime before freshman Reyna Mijangos found the back of the net, securing the win for the Hawks. The Hawks, seeded #13, will play the #12-seeded West Clermont at their home stadium
