Girls Volleyball Drops Match to Notre Dame Academy

Notre Dame Academy defeated Lakota East (4-2) 17-25, 18-25, 17-25 on Thursday. East’s defense and serve receive kept us alive during this match. Cailyn Wachtel had 23 digs and LeeAnn Starr had 10 digs. LeeAnn also had 15 assists, while Taina Benitez had 9 kills. Next up the Lady Hawks are at Centerville on Saturday.

Football Opens with a 40-8 Rout of Western Hills

East opened their 2013 Football sesaon last Friday with a 40-8 rout of Western Hills. The Hawks dominated every facet of the contest rolling up 289 yards of total offense. Senior QB Eric Eichler passed for 1 TD and ran for two more, individually rolling up 143 yards of offense (109 rushing and 34 passing).
