Lakota East High School and the Lakota East Volleyball Program are excited to announce the hiring (pending BOE approval) of Jen Dreher as the new Head Coach of the Girls Volleyball Program.
Coach Dreher brings level of energy and passion that will be very difficult to match. I could not be more excited to welcome Coach Dreher and her staff to Lakota East.
Head Varsity Coach
Bio – Highly energetic, motivational coach who strives for excellence within her athletes. She prides herself in having her athletes reach their fullest potential and designing a team that highlights each of the players strengths. She brings 12+ years of coaching experience to Lakota East with 7 years of them in High School and junior high volleyball. She has 4 years of coaching club at Cincinnati Volleyball Academy and Ohio Premier where she led 3 of her teams to the Gold. She envisions the Lakota East program to encompass all ages and levels of volleyball that will led to a sustainable, highly competitive Division I school district. She is the Training Director at the Lakota Sports Organization for volleyball and volunteers as a coach and an upward basketball coach in her free time. She resides in Liberty Twp. with her husband and 6 children. She enjoys being outdoors, sports of all kinds, and spending quality time with her children.
Varsity Assistant Coach
Bio – Erica has been coaching volleyball for the last 10 years at various levels. She has coached for GCCYS, Cincinnati Volleyball Academy and is currently coaching at Ohio Premier Volleyball Club. Erica strives her best to push players to their full potential, wanting to better their knowledge, skills set and the love for the game.
She is a graduate of Miami University and continues to play indoor and outdoor volleyball competitively. Outside of coaching, Erica is a software developer at The Cincinnati Insurance. She enjoys spending time with her family and watching her 3 kids in their various sport
JV Varsity Coach
Bio – A lifelong volleyball enthusiast, Coach Fancett is a native of Lebanon, OH, and graduated from Miami University. He has coached various teams for Cincinnati Volleyball Academy and Ohio Premier Volleyball Club where he currently serves as Assistant Girls Club Director in addition to coaching their 14-1 Open team. His career in management and fifteen years of previous football officiating experience lends a unique perspective that not only aids his coaching, but more importantly, his connection with his athletes. With a desire to be transformational rather than transactional, Coach Fancett strives to teach life through the game of volleyball. This has shaped his message of “Always Bring Your 100%” which encourages players to be relentless in their pursuits, play joyfully and outwork their opponents. Off the court, he enjoys cooking, traveling to new places, and spending time watching his daughters grow up. He resides with his family in Symmes Township.
Bio – Passionate coach who strives for leadership and heart within the athletes. She not only strives to push the athletes beyond their potential but open their eyes to see their own potential within themselves and as a team. She brings 2 years of coaching experience with them being in Scottsburg High School and junior high volleyball where she led to their first ever winning season, she also had 2 years of coaching club at Kiva and Ohio Premier. Coach strives for the athletes to learn to be leaders on and off the court, and to always have passion in everything they do. Off the court she is a USA Junior Volleyball Official, plays beach volleyball, travels to new places and spending time with her dog. She resides in Pleasant Ridge.
