The Lakota East girls basketball team hosted their final home game of the season on Wednesday night. They would look to improve their record and get a win against Middletown.
The Hawks had to battle during the first half, but then blew open a big lead on the Middies. Sarah Sewak hit an NBA range 3 to swing momentum and put the Thunderhawks up 23-12. East didn’t look back and beat Middletown 63-43. Senior Claire Vogelmann led the Thunderhawks with 14 points and 4 rebounds. Senior Camryn Eddy finished with 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. It was a great team win on senior night.
Lakota East improves its record to 10-9. They will go on the road to take on Oak Hills Saturday afternoon at 1:45 pm.
