Lakota East Football outlasted Kettering Fairmont on Friday, 14-6, to post their first win of the season. After a scoreless first quarter, the Firebirds put up 6 points at the 2:57 mark in the 2nd quarter. The Hawks rallied back on TJ Kathman 3-yard rush and converted the extra point for a 7-6 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, Kathman found the end zone to finish the scoring for both teams. Tavier Lugo-Flowers led East on the ground with 45 yards on 17 carries
East begins the GMC season at Mason this Friday night. The Comets are off to a 0-2 start falling to Springboro and Lasalle the past two Fridays.
