East Tourney Resumes Tuesday vs. Turpin

Lakota East played one more regular season game against Summit Country Day Saturday afternoon. Both teams are still in the Ohio High School Baseball Tournament.

Lakota East won 7-3. The pitching was a team effort so that all arms are ready for this week. Nate Haberthier pitched 1 inning with 2 strikeouts. Drew Bachman pitched 2 innings with 2 strikeouts. Jake Fisher threw 2 innings with 2 strikeouts. Casey Berglund (2/3 innings) and Cole Talarek (1 1/3 innings, 1K) rounded out the rotation for the day.

The Thunderhawk offense stayed consistent putting at least one run across the plate in four of the six innings they batted. Leading the offensive charge was Junior Andrew Gooding (1-1) and Sean Church (1-1, triple, 2RBI). They were followed by Grayson Hamilton (2-3, double, 2RBI), Will Koger (2-3), and Devon Milburn (1-3, triple, RBI). Junior Dylan Rissola plated the last run of the day on a sacrifice fly to center field.

Lakota East gets back to tournament play on Tuesday against 9 seed Turpin at Kings High School at 5 pm for a Sectional Title. The winner will advance to play either Badin or LaSalle, Thursday, May 23rd 5:00. for the District Championship and a trip to Regionals.
