Lakota East BB traveled to Kings Friday night in a pre-tournament tune-up game. The Hawks lost 7-6 in 8 innings. Grayson Hamilton got the call to start pitching 5 innings with 5 strikeouts in the no-decision. Jake Fisher came in for 2 innings with 2 strikeouts and Drew Bachman pitched the 8th with one strikeout.

The Thunderhawks scored in the first off a leadoff single by Will Koger who then scored on a Grayson Hamilton double. The East bats went quiet until the 6th inning plating 2 runs and added 3 more in the 7th. Unfortunately, the Hawks left the bases loaded in the 8th. The Thunderhawk offense consisted of Sean Church (2-4, RBI), Will Koger (2-4), Mitchell Vincent (2-5, double, RBI), Devon Milburn (1-3, RBI), Christian Bodden (1-3, double), and Grayson Hamilton (1-4, double, RBI).


The Thunderhawks took a trip to Marysville, Ohio to play on Saturday against Marysville High School. The Hawks fell 9-8 in 9 innings to the Monarchs. Nate Haberthier got the start pitching 5 innings and striking out 4. Senior Trey Faglie finished the final 4 innings collecting 2 strikeouts.

Lakota East scored early but just could not put the Monarchs away. The offense was led by Grayson Hamilton (3-4, double, 2RBI), Will Koger (2-4, double 2RBI), Christian Bodden (2-4, double, 2RBI), Preston Dorsey (2-3, RBI), Devon Milburn (1-4), and Mitchell Vincent (1-5).
The Hawks will play today (Monday) against Wyoming at 5 pm at WYOMING.  

The Hawks are the 3 seed for tournament play and will face the winner of St Xavier/Northwest next Thursday, May 16 at Thunderhawk Field
