Breaks 4×100, 4×200, High Jump Records at Hamilton!
The Women’s Relays were back to their record-breaking ways last Tuesday, April 30th at the Hamilton Varsity meet.  The 4×200 team broke a school record, district record and meet record in a blazing fast time of 1:40.04!  This talented squad includes Dawn Hilton, Serena Clark, Azariyah Bryant, and Camiyah James. Many congratulations are in order on this great achievement!

Not to be outdone the 4×100 team followed suit.  Their record also constitutes a school, district and meet record!  Their time was 46.53! The team consists of Dawn Hilton, Kaylyn Heath, Azariyah Bryant, and Serena Clark. This group of strong athletes should be congratulated, as records are not broken every day. These records are very high and difficult to achieve.

Jada Bouyer was another record breaker in the High Jump!  Jada went an amazing 5-04 feet! This ties the East school record. East is so proud of her for this awesome jump and a huge accomplishment!  No doubt Jada will be going for the new record and accomplishing that soon.

In other podium news, Anna Kluesener took sixth in the 100m hurdles in 16.91 and fourth in the 300m hurdles in 49.49.  Danni Stoughton accomplished a win in the 200m in 25.31 and fifth in the 100m dash in 12.62. Kaylyn Heath was the 100m Champion in 12.13.  In the 1600m run, East had two podium placers in Hailey Wilson (fourth) and Paxton Oberhaus (fifth). Both PR’d in 5:36.87 and 5:37.62 respectively!  Not to be outdone, the 400m runners followed suit, with Heather Strauss placing second in 1:01.57 and Leighton Heiner placing third in 1:02.21. East had two podium finishes in the 3200m. Sarah Renfro placed sixth in 12:48.91 and Kaitlyn Smith placed seventh in 12:50.82. In the 4x400m East had a runner up!  Schneider, Strauss, Heiner, and Terry were the team members of this second place victory. Christina Blount also jumped very well at 5-00, placing fourth. In the Long Jump, Camiyah James was runner up in 17-01 feet and Jada Ingram took eighth in 15-01.5.

Overall it was an amazing meet for the ladies, who placed second of fourteen teams.
