The Thunderhawk Girls Golf Team is headed back to state after a third-place showing in Tuesday’s district tournament at Glenview Golf Course, powered by the play of senior Bree Wilson (38-41—79) and junior Grace Honigford (38-41—79). The top 3 teams in the SW District all qualify as a team for the OHSAA State Championships at OSU. Centerville was the overall winner posting a team score of 314, followed by Mason 323 and then East with a 325 total.
Freshmen Samantha Bernardo (40-43—83) and Ellie Yeazell (42-42—84), along with junior Camryn Eddy (42-46—88), also competed for East.

East advanced to Columbus for the first time in program history last fall and finished seventh. The OHSAA State Girls Golf Championships are Friday/Saturday, Oct. 19-20 at Ohio State University’s Gray Course.
