East Split Series with Mason

Unfortunately, the Hawks could not pull off the sweep of Mason Wednesday night.  The Comets won 12-1. Aidan Talarek got the start and pitched well but the Comets came to hit.  East’s pitching duo of Talarek and Junior Jake Fisher combined for 4 strikeouts.

The Thunderhawk offense could not match the high powered Mason offense. Leading the Hawks were Daniel Sewark (1-2, RBI), Garrison Hamilton (1-3) and Casey Berglund (1-1)

Lakota East got back to their winning ways Thursday beating Oak Hills 17-7. Senior Dylan Smith took the mound and pitched 4 2/3 strong innings striking out 9 batters. Max Vogelsang closed out the game giving up only one hit, no runs and striking out one.

The Thunderhawk bats got hot again, having big innings in the 2nd and 4th. Seeing the ball really well right now is Christian Bodden. He went 3-4 and had 2 RBI’s.  Daniel Sewak and Mitchell Vincent also had great nights collecting 2 hits each and 5 RBI’s.  The rest of the Thunderhawks offense included Jack Wilms (2-4, 3 RBI), Sean Church (1-1, 2 RBI), Devon Milburn (1-2, RBI), and Will Koger (1-4, 2 RBI).

The Thunderhawks will host Princeton tonight at 5pm and weather permitting a double header on Saturday against Wyoming starting at noon.
