Senior standout, Jarrett Cox literally slam dunked his way into the 1000 point club on Saturday. Cox got a steal on Princeton’s first possession, jamming the ball for East’s first points of the game to produce his 1000 and 1001 career point.
Cox, a Fairmont State signee and three-year varsity starter, finished with 19 points for a total of 1018 in his illustrious East basketball career. He becomes the third player in East boys basketball history to score more than 1000 points in a career. James Dews (2002-06) is the all-time leader with 1906 points, followed by Alex White (2011-15) with 1145 career points.
