The East Football team suffered their first loss of 2017 last Friday, falling at Fairfield 48-14. The Hawks were never close in this battle to a very good Indian team. After two quarters of play East was down 27-0, but to their credit held FF scoreless in the 2nd quarter. East got on the board in the third quarter on 13 yard pass from Dylan Fry to Evan Yablonsky. East final point on the night was a Jack Dobrozsi 37-yard run at 9:53 in the final quarter.

Statistically, East got out gunned 403-235 on the offensive side of things. Jeff Garcia led East with 88 yards rushing on 11 carries. Dobrozsi finished with 66 yards on 10 carries.

The Hawks (3-1, 1-1) will regroup this week and host winless Oak Hills (0-4, 0-2) on Friday night, Sept. 22nd. The Highlanders fell to Lakota West last week 31-24.
