Multiple Teams · Boys Basketball Makes Big 2nd Half Comeback

The boys basketball team concluded their regular season on Friday evening (Senior night) with a 58-40 win over Colerain. It was the Hawks third win in a row and finishes their GMC record at 11-5 (third place). The team will be preparing this week for hopefully a deep run into the post season.

Colerain actually led East 31-26 at the half in Friday’s game. East went on to outscore the Cardinals 18-2 in the third quarter and never looked back. Evan Kuhlman and Jarrett Cox led East with 22 and 21 points, respectively. Before the game, seniors Evan Kuhlman and Cameron Kolianos were recognized for the contributions to the East boys basketball program. Congrats to these two fine players and good luck in the future!

A WONDERFUL RECOGNITION OF THE 1992 LAKOTA BOYS BASKETBALL STATE CHAMPIONS WAS A HIGHLIGHT ON FRIDAY.  A large group of the players and coaches were honored and remembered at halftime of East’s final home game of 2016-17.

East grabbed the #6 seed in the upcoming Sectional at Lakota West. They’ll play the winner of the Amelia/Kings contest on Wednesday, March 1st at 6:00 pm.
