Girls Lacrosse Loses to Mariemont

The Lakota East High School Women’s Lacrosse team lost the final regular season game to the Mariemont Warriors on Thursday, May 11th, 2017 by a score of 12-3. 

Players who scored:   Senior Emily Polivick (2), Senior Captain Lauren Johnson (1), and Junior Danielle Leaym (1).

Draw Controls:  Sophomore Emily Willms (4), and Senior Captain Corrin Urmie (3).

Defensive contributions:

Ground Balls: Senior Captain Lauren Johnson (2) , Senior Captain Amber Herzog (2) , Senior Captain Lauryn Hill (2) , Junior Katie Bryson (2) , Sophomore Emily Willms (2) , and Sophomore Makenna Henderson (2) .

Forced Turnovers: Senior Captain Lauryn Hill (3), Senior Captain Amber Herzog (1), Senior Marissa Lombardi (1), Junior Danielle Leaym (1), and  Sophomore Emily Willms (2)

Saves: Senior Goalie Roshini Susarla (10) and Sophomore Abbie Urick (5).

The team record now stands at 9-8.

Next up, the Thunderhawks host the Centerville Lady Elks to the Hawk’s Nest to start OHSAA State Tournament play! Game will be held Monday, May 15th at 6:00 pm. Go Thunderhawks.
